Pictures!

So about a month ago I went and got Addy's pictures taken at a photography place called Fotofly. It was amazing! They do all the modern type of photography, and for only $79 you get the whole CD of edited pictures that were taken. Wow I kinda sound like an advertisement! :) Anyway, I really wanted the pictures taken so that I could get some pictures of Addy in her blessing dress. Unfortunately she was teething that day and had a very short fuse so when we got to the blessing dress outfit shots she was not having any of it and they didn't turn out like I planned. She still looks very cute though.

For her shoot I knew that I wanted to make her a new bow to go with her blessing dress because the one that I made before I didn't like at all. This is what I came up with:

I love how it turned out even thought when it's on her it takes up half of her head! Hey the bigger the better right? :) I'm debating on whether I should try and take her back and get her blessing dress pictures done again. The staff there was wonderful with her and knew what to do with her to get the best shots so I know that if I was to take her back and have them take pictures of her first in her dress and then do what ever after that she would do much better.
Anyway here are some of the ones we got:

Jobs, Princesses, and Drama Queens

Yes yes I am aware that I haven't posted anything of any importance for two months. oops! It's been super busy around the Cordingley household lately.With me back to work and trying to keep up with family, holidays, and being a mom. Things tend to get pushed off to the side with me saying 'I'll do it later'. Things have been great with us. Since our last post, Brock has gotten a full time job paying salary working for a company called HCH. They basically handle all the licensing of the trucks for the big name trucking companies. It's been great having the extra money coming in and has made it so that we are paying down a lot of our debt pretty fast. We still haven't heard much back from Mesa about the forensics job down there other than they are wanting Brock to send more information about him to them. So we are still keeping our fingers crossed.

Addy is growing so fast. She has for sure mastered rolling over and will not stay in one spot for very long. She is also doing this worm kinda crawl thing so I suspect we will be having a crawling toddler here pretty soon. I can already tell that she is going to be a busy little one! She also can't get enough of helping Dad on his computer. She loves to watch him do things on it.
So some recent happenings for us.....

We were finally to the point that one car was no longer feasable for our schedules anymore so we went car shopping the end of May, and found our cute new car.  

It's a Subaru Forester! We love it and it's very fun to drive. It's also nice to have a second car. I didn't know how nice it was to not have to have every minute of every day planned out perfectly so that we could both get the things done that needed to get done, but with only one car. It wasn't too bad when it was just me and Brock. We figured it out pretty well, but now that we added another ingredient to the Cordingley mixture it has made it more difficult with doctors appointments, me working and having to get her to a babysitter, etc.
A month later my dad celebrated his 50th birthday. My mom threw a huge surprise party for him ( not much of a surprise for him, though, because my mom is a bad liar and can't hide things very well) It was fun to see all the family together and to catch up since we have kinda been out of the loop with everything because of having a baby recently. It was weird to think that last year on my dad's birthday we told the family that we were having a baby and now a year later and we have a 6 month old!! That time went by way too fast!
The 4th of July weekend we went up to Brock's mom's side's (that looks funny typed out :S ) family reunion in Park City. It was fun to see all of his family since we don't get to see them very much due to them all living in Idaho. They rented a cabin up there and it was nice to just get away for a little bit. (our new little car got to do some off roading type driving too :) ) Addy had a lot of fun playing with Punkin (that's Brock's mom's "grandma name")  and Papa. 
On the night of the 4th instead of going to fireworks somewhere we climbed up on Brock's parents roof and watched Lagoon/ Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, and Clearfield fireworks as well as all the many people around us that were lighting the new legalized aerial fireworks. I was a little nervous to see how Addy would react to them. I thought the loud banging might scare her, but it was the exact opposite! She loved them and didn't know where to look because they were going off everywhere! I think I may have watched more of her than I did of the fireworks (oops). :)
Addy had her 6 month checkup on the 18th and had to get more vaccinations. She was such a drama queen about it. She cried initially from the pokes, but the second the nurse was done and I picked her up she stopped crying. The nurse was filling out her immunization card and every time she would look up at Addy to say something to her Addy would let out this little dramatic sob basically telling the nurse she had been hurt by her. It was so funny. That day she did fine with her shots too. She got a little grumpier than usual when she was either hungry or was sleepy, but other than that she was a good little baby. She even went and watched dad play his last softball game that evening and sat on a blankey playing with all her toys just chattering and screaming away. She is very vocal and talkative if you weren't aware of that. Her and her dad will even have talking conversations back a forth. It's the cutest thing ever! Her and her dad have a lot of fun together. He can get her to laugh so hard, but every time I try to record it I think she knows, and stops completely or doesn't laugh as hard anymore. Yes a STINKER I say!

I can't believe that the time has gone by this fast!! I was thinking the other day about how 6 months ago I was in the mindset that when I would think about going somewhere I would not picture a baby with me, but now when I think about even running to the grocery store I always picture me with baby in tow now. It's so weird how fast your whole mindset changes when you have a baby. Now pretty much all of my thoughts are solely about her in some way. Like I've said before I wouldn't change any of it for the world.

 This is the cutest thing ever! She sat there contently watching Brock for a long time while he did dishes.

 The first time she found her foot, and now I can't keep them out of her mouth.

 First big bath. She loved it! The Bumbo didn't float very well though. 

 We went to the Bee's game with Brock's little brother and his cute girl friend. It was a lot of fun. This is how much Addy liked it ;)

She no longer needs to even wear a bib she's such a clean eater!

Lagoon DAY!!!!

Yesterday we went to Lagoon. Brock's dad's work had Lagoon day so it was a lot cheaper to get in. We had to go in the middle of the day so that I could get some sleep that morning since it's my week on. We got there at about 2 and it was so hot that we decided to immediately go and see if Lagoona Beach was open to go swimming and cool off. I have to say it was kinda nice to be out in the sun and being with my little family even though there were a gazillion people there! We took Addy in the water and we thought that when we first stepped in that she wouldn't like it because it would be too cold for her, but when we set her in it she loved it!  She loves water though. We went over to the kiddie pool and I went and took her down the little kiddie slide. Unfortunately it got the best of me. I lost my balance after the water at the bottom of the slide kinda whorl pooled  behind me when I got to the bottom and tried to stand up which pushed me forward. I was still holding the baby so I could just fall like you normally would in the water. Instead I fell to my knees....  

Yeah I haven't had scuffed up knees since I was a little kid! I forgot how much it can hurt. 

Addy was having fun and was the most talkative baby there! We had to go get her a sun hat before we went, and all they had were the huge ones! Oh well it's better than nothing. She loved seeing all the people everywhere and was looking at everything. She didn't get fussy at all while there considering how hot it was and how much she hates being hot. She even got to try some of mom's Icee. We couldn't believe how amazing she was with sucking through a straw! It was fun and I'm glad that Brock's dad took us even though he got sick :(

Torture for me or her?

So it seems to be a trend that the only time I update on here is when Addy has a milestone of some sort. Yes I think that we can all come to the conclusion that this blog is pretty much about our little princess more than anything else. Who can blame me though I mean look at this face

I love my little girl more than anything in this whole world and it amazes me every day how much more that love grows. Anyway so little Addyson had her 4 month appointment. Yes I know she's 4 MONTHS already! I'm sad to see that my baby is growing up so fast, but I love to watch her grow and explore and learn new things too. So, anyway, we eventually made it to her 4 month appointment (after I completely spaced her original appointment) and everything went really well. Last Wednesday through Saturday she came down with a pretty nasty cold and had already been in to see the Dr twice before her appointment that was scheduled for that following Monday. So at the appointment it was a check up too and the Dr said that she looked great. Unfortunately once the Dr. was done seeing her is when the bad stuff came. She had to get her 4 month booster shots. I felt so terrible, especially since she kept looking over at me with the most sad face. Here are her stats at 4 months:

Length: 24 1/2 in 55%

Weight: 13 lb 10 oz 55%

Head circ: 40.9 cm 50%

So she has definitely come a long way from what she was at when she was first born.

This last fast Sunday she was blessed and it was a beautiful blessing. Everything was a little stressful for me the weeks leading up to it, and the day of but all-in-all it went perfect. I will have to post pictures of her in her dress on the actual day later because I don't have them on my computer, but here is one of her being a model before the big day and of her final finished dress. My mom and I decided that since we couldn't find what we wanted for her blessing dress that we would design it and make it ourselves. I am super pleased with how it turned out, and it was a lot cheaper than if we would have found a dress of that caliber to buy. :)

Yes I sewed little pearl floweretts (sp) onto each of the bunches and I absolutely love how it turned out! :)

She has started to sit up by herself for the most part and interacts well with her toys. She now will play with her rubber ducky in the bath tub, but she prefers to suck on the wash cloth, instead. She loves to sit and talk and sing to who ever will listen to her.

It's the cutest thing in the whole world and I love it. The giggles have started too. We play a game that when ever she gets her diaper changed I will either blow raspberries on her tummy or "eat it" and she starts to giggle even before I get to her tummy because she knows what I'm doing. It's soooo cute! I love my baby girl and I love to see how much she knows who I am and how much she loves me. It's the best feeling to greet her after being away from her and have her face completely light up when she sees that it's me. There is no better feeling than that.

So not only is she interacting with her toys, but she has recently found Kloee as well, and Kloee seems to like that there is another person paying attention to her. I caught the end of one of their interactions. I wish I would have gotten more.

Some other recent happenings was two Fridays ago Papa Simmons took out Jake's kennel and poured a bigger cement pad so that he could extend his shed that he has already to put all of his big toys in. So what does wet cement+cute little chubby feet and hands =? yep we had to of course go put the kids feet in the new cement. We actually put them right by where me and my brothers put our hands back in 1995 when my dad poured the first cement pad for Jake's kennel. It was fun to do and it's a great memory to have. Addy was sick, but she was a big trooper anyway and let mom put her hands and feet in the cement quickly. The part that she most didn't like was washing the cement off since my parents seem to have installed their water heater in China so it takes forever and a day to even get warm water at their house and I didn't want to leave the cement on her skin for too long in case it started to burn her soft little skin so she got her hands and feet washed in cold water :( .

We also on the Saturday of my last week off went to a Bee's game. It was really fun and it was great to finally get outside.

That weekend was also the weekend that I decided to start introducing dairy back into my diet to see how baby would be able to handle it. ANNNNND she did great! So her Mother's Day present to me was that I could start eating dairy again! YAHOOO!

This last week off was pretty cool too. Brock and I have decided to once a month chose a new temple to go to a session at since ours is closed for renovations. This last Friday we went to the Jordan River Temple. It was beautiful! I love going to the temple and the peace that it gives me just by being on the temple grounds. The weird thing about the Jordan River temple was that the inside layout was a lot like the Ogden temple so Brock and I felt right at home. The outside is completely different though.
