Craft day Saturday!

So this morning I woke up pretty early really in a nesting mood. I decided to clean my house. That didn't take long and I soon ran out ofthings to do. Sooo, I decided I would make some bows for Addy's beanies and or headbands. This is one that I made. I love how it turned out, and can't wait to make more! The best part is that they were cheap to make and I was able to make them how I wanted to ;).
Here are the other ones that I have made so far...
The picture doesn't do any of these real justice. They are really cute!
My craft day with my sister-in-law and mother-in- law we decided to make holiday magnet calendars. It's not quite finished because I need to still get the magnets for them. Speaking of magnets... Do any of you know where to get cheap ones? The only ones that I could find were at the craft store, and for 6 of them they wanted $3! The magnets will cost more than making the entire calendar if I bought them from there. It'll be very cute when finished and it'll be fun to make one for each month if I can find some magnets that is. Here's kinda an idea of what I'm talking about...
I actually think that mine turned out a lot cuter :) I'm not being bias at all though :D
So after I got home I wasn't done being in a crafty mood so I decided to finish my spooky blocks. I love how they turned out! The best thing is that I figured it out and the total cost to make these was less than $5!!! That's what I love!
So anywho... I'll post a picture of my finished calendar when I get it all the way finished. :)

And the fun begins!!

So today I was talking to Brock about how I wanted to do the baby's room as far as the painting part goes. I had to obviously go onto the sight that had the crib set that I wanted because it had the paint colors that go with it. When I went on there the first thing that I saw was that it was on SALE!! Wahooo!! I was so excited I could barely contain my excitement. Since I have been looking E V E R Y W H E R E for the fabric to make it, and had no such luck I was super excited to see that it was on sale. Yes, I did want to make it with my mom because I think that it would be fun, but oh well. I would like to have the set more than making some random one that I didn't really care for. SOOO... Now that I have the set I can start painting and get the correct colors to match the set. I found this super cute idea that someone did in their baby boy's room.
Isn't that wall adorable!?!?!? Of course it had to have polkadots on it. I know I know... I'll wait while you roll your eyes and laugh. Go ahead...
The part that I am unsure about is the color of the strips. I know that the other three walls I want to be the green that is in the bedding, so now what to I do for the stripes? I want to do the polkadots in the darker pink and the monkey color of brown. So any ideas for the stripes? Here's a picture of the crib set again in case some of you may have forgotten.
I am very excited to start painting next week! It's getting closer every day, and I am very excited to meet my little one for the very first time in a couple of months.
Now for a pregnancy update:
I am starting to get a little bit of a belly, but people still tell me that I don't look pregnant. I think there is a little belly there, but I guess other people see something different. That's ok, though, I'm just hoping that it will pop out here in the next few weeks before Brock's little brother comes home from his mission. We haven't told him that I am pregnant because we wanted to surprise him at the airport when he comes home on the 29th. Yes, I know... What if I'm not showing by then? Well, I will try my hardest to stick it out and make sure that I eat a big meal before we go, that seems to make my belly look a little bigger. :) Anyway, I am not getting nauseated hardly at all anymore which has been really nice. I feel like I can eat normal again. Because of this, I actually gained some weight at my appointment that I had on Tuesday!!! Wahoo! That was a big relief for me and for my Dr since he told me at my last appointment that I needed to concentrate on that. He told me that baby ( oh by the way we decided to name her Addyson Mari) is doing great and she sounds great, but that she's a brat because she won't get off my tailbone. Yep, that's why I don't have much of a belly because she is hiding in my back!!! Now that she's getting bigger, I traded being sick for horrible low back and sciatic nerve pain instead. Doesn't that sound like fun? If it's not one thing it's always something else... I'm actually ok with the back pain because it's not too far off from what I used to have before I got pregnant. It's so much better than being nauseated and throwing up all the time. :)
Anyway, Addy is kicking up a storm more times than not, and I love to feel her little and big kicks. Now when she flips you can see this lump moving from one end of my stomach to the other, and it seems like one of her favorite things to do is push up really hard on my stomach so that there is this bulge. It's really funny, and her daddy gets a kick out of it every time.

Soon to be made crafts

Ok so as promised here are some ideas that I found last night:
I thought that these pumpkins were very cute. The only problem is that I like to keep things neutral for halloween and thanksgiving/fall, and these are halloween to me. I would have to use different fabric and maybe just make one that is more halloween. We'll have to see...
I absolutely love these blocks. There is so much character to them with the letters and
backgrounds all different. The best thing is these are super cheap and really easy to make. My favorite kind of craft :)
This countdown picture frame is perfect. Brock and I absolutely love halloween, and I'm sure that our kids will too since we make such a big deal out of it. This one will take some time to make all the different days on the cricut, but it'll be so cute.
I love this fall wreath! The best part about it is that she made it for less than $20!!! BARGAIN!! I know I know I already have a fall wreath made, but who says I can't have another one.... Or I could make it for someone :D. Brock says that I need a bigger house just so that I can make all my crafts and have places to put them for decoration. Well, ok if you say so... ;) I'm just getting ready for when I do have a big house and have several rooms to decorate for. You can never be too prepared :D he he.
Aren't these the cutest wall hangings?!? I have so many ideas to do with these kinds of things it's not even funny!
These BOO blocks are super cute too Yes I know I already am going to make the spooky blocks, but like I said I can never have too many fall/halloween things.
AND... Now onto the other great holidays! These are tons cuter than the regular blocks that you see at crafty stores. I still can't get over how cheap these are to make!
Here is the Christmas countdown one. This is perfect because what I remember about my childhood counting down to christmas was the tradition that my cute mom would do every year. She has this calendar that the tree would move pockets every day, and when it got to the last 10 days an "elf" would come and set out presents for me and my brothers. We loved it! I would love to keep up the tradition with something like what my mom did for my kids because I love traditions!!

Here is kinda what the calendar looked like. It was obviously much cuter since my mom made it by hand. I always loved having her homemade things around the house. It made it more like a home rather than a commercial.

Now for my baby girl crafts! YAY!! I have so many cute ideas to make for her so that she will be the cutest girl in the whole world. This flower is an example of flowers to come that will go on her headbands that I will be making. :)

These hats are adorable! I love this idea! The dilemma that I am having is that I only know how to crochet one way. I would either have to find someone that know's how to crochet the bigger hole parts on this hat, or find the hats somewhere. I really would love to make some of these for my baby because she will be born in the middle of winter, and she still needs to be stylin' even if it's cold outside. :)

AND.... last but not least the crib set that my mom and I want to make. Well, that's if we can find the fabric. So gals (and guys I guess if you're into that sort of thing) keep your eyes peeled for this fabric. We have looked everywhere for it, and nobody seems to have it. Yes sad I know. I really don't want to spend $100, but I really really really really really want this set since she will be our little monkey. :D

Crafts anyone?

So since I work during the middle of the night when every other sane person out there is sleeping I have much unecessary time on my hands to look on the internet... mostly blogs :). With fall being my favorite time of year anyway it only makes sense to be in such a crafty mood. I have been stalking... no browsing peoples pages and have found so many cute ideas. I say IDEAS because I like to look at things, and then make them unique in my own way so that it has my signature on it, and I know that nobody else will have it. :) he he me... muah.... be unique? ha ha I laugh at such a thought. ;)

Anyway, so I have known about the DI shopping ordeal for a while now, but I haven't yet been able to get up enough energy to really go bargain hunting on a regular basis at the DI and other thrift stores. I am making a vow to myself right now that I am going to start. I have way... I mean WAY too many ideas floating around in my head that if I were to spend the money at any regular joe's store I would go bankrupt quite fast. Plus what's the fun in buying something that doesn't need to be shabbied up at all? Now all I need is a partner in crime.... any takers? I know that my new journey would be much more achievable if I had a sidekick, plus its a lot more fun to play with friends, and making things. :)

Well, I am having issues with this computer so I will post ideas that are in the making when I can get to my own computer.
