Torture for me or her?
So it seems to be a trend that the only time I update on here is when Addy has a milestone of some sort. Yes I think that we can all come to the conclusion that this blog is pretty much about our little princess more than anything else. Who can blame me though I mean look at this face

I love my little girl more than anything in this whole world and it amazes me every day how much more that love grows. Anyway so little Addyson had her 4 month appointment. Yes I know she's 4 MONTHS already! I'm sad to see that my baby is growing up so fast, but I love to watch her grow and explore and learn new things too. So, anyway, we eventually made it to her 4 month appointment (after I completely spaced her original appointment) and everything went really well. Last Wednesday through Saturday she came down with a pretty nasty cold and had already been in to see the Dr twice before her appointment that was scheduled for that following Monday. So at the appointment it was a check up too and the Dr said that she looked great. Unfortunately once the Dr. was done seeing her is when the bad stuff came. She had to get her 4 month booster shots. I felt so terrible, especially since she kept looking over at me with the most sad face. Here are her stats at 4 months:Length: 24 1/2 in 55%
Weight: 13 lb 10 oz 55%
Head circ: 40.9 cm 50%
So she has definitely come a long way from what she was at when she was first born.
This last fast Sunday she was blessed and it was a beautiful blessing. Everything was a little stressful for me the weeks leading up to it, and the day of but all-in-all it went perfect. I will have to post pictures of her in her dress on the actual day later because I don't have them on my computer, but here is one of her being a model before the big day and of her final finished dress. My mom and I decided that since we couldn't find what we wanted for her blessing dress that we would design it and make it ourselves. I am super pleased with how it turned out, and it was a lot cheaper than if we would have found a dress of that caliber to buy. :)

Yes I sewed little pearl floweretts (sp) onto each of the bunches and I absolutely love how it turned out! :)
She has started to sit up by herself for the most part and interacts well with her toys. She now will play with her rubber ducky in the bath tub, but she prefers to suck on the wash cloth, instead. She loves to sit and talk and sing to who ever will listen to her.
It's the cutest thing in the whole world and I love it. The giggles have started too. We play a game that when ever she gets her diaper changed I will either blow raspberries on her tummy or "eat it" and she starts to giggle even before I get to her tummy because she knows what I'm doing. It's soooo cute! I love my baby girl and I love to see how much she knows who I am and how much she loves me. It's the best feeling to greet her after being away from her and have her face completely light up when she sees that it's me. There is no better feeling than that.
So not only is she interacting with her toys, but she has recently found Kloee as well, and Kloee seems to like that there is another person paying attention to her. I caught the end of one of their interactions. I wish I would have gotten more.
Some other recent happenings was two Fridays ago Papa Simmons took out Jake's kennel and poured a bigger cement pad so that he could extend his shed that he has already to put all of his big toys in. So what does wet cement+cute little chubby feet and hands =? yep we had to of course go put the kids feet in the new cement. We actually put them right by where me and my brothers put our hands back in 1995 when my dad poured the first cement pad for Jake's kennel. It was fun to do and it's a great memory to have. Addy was sick, but she was a big trooper anyway and let mom put her hands and feet in the cement quickly. The part that she most didn't like was washing the cement off since my parents seem to have installed their water heater in China so it takes forever and a day to even get warm water at their house and I didn't want to leave the cement on her skin for too long in case it started to burn her soft little skin so she got her hands and feet washed in cold water :( .
We also on the Saturday of my last week off went to a Bee's game. It was really fun and it was great to finally get outside.
That weekend was also the weekend that I decided to start introducing dairy back into my diet to see how baby would be able to handle it. ANNNNND she did great! So her Mother's Day present to me was that I could start eating dairy again! YAHOOO!
This last week off was pretty cool too. Brock and I have decided to once a month chose a new temple to go to a session at since ours is closed for renovations. This last Friday we went to the Jordan River Temple. It was beautiful! I love going to the temple and the peace that it gives me just by being on the temple grounds. The weird thing about the Jordan River temple was that the inside layout was a lot like the Ogden temple so Brock and I felt right at home. The outside is completely different though.

Here's pics for the road...

3 months
So today marks our little Addy's three month mark. She is getting so big and gaining such a little diva personality. She is now saying so many "words". Her and I will have little conversations every day. It's so cute, to me, that she will lay on my lap and sit there squeaking to me and smiling. I never thought that I would say that my fun for the day was me squeaking. I absolutely love how vocal and lively she is. She makes me want to wake up every morning just so that I can see her and be with her. I love every chance that I get to hold her and cuddle her as well as to just plain sit and stare at her. She is getting better at sleeping in her cradle, and will sleep almost the entire night usually waking up around 6 or so in the morning. She doesn't like to sleep, so much, in her boppy anymore which means that mom's back has been a lot better not having to sleep out on the couch with her just so that she will sleep. She for a brief moment loved her new vibrating chair that her aunt Erika let us borrow, but now she doesn't like it so much. She still loves to swing in her swing and play with her birdies on the mobile. She has now discovered the mirror on the mobile and will sit and squeak at herself. It's the cutest thing ever! She also is starting to like rattles and will sit intently for quite a while watching mom or dad shake a rattle watching it move and looking at it's bright colors. She is still having issues with me having any kind of dairy, but it is getting better. I introduced a little bit of milk into my day a couple of weeks ago, and she didn't have massive gas pains like she used to have, but she still had the runs pretty bad. So hopefully soon mom can go back to having dairy when her digestive system can fully handle it. I know that I said this last post, but I never thought I would have been able to love something so much. I will do anything for her.
Speaking of anything... I started back to work last week, and it was the hardest thing that I think I have ever had to do. I was an emotional mess the entire week I was on. I'm sure that the other grave tech (a man) was loving my "emotionalness" and couldn't wait 'till our seven off started just so he could have a break from his crazy coworker. I hate the fact that I have to leave my baby every night. I cried every night driving into work, and my other co-workers learned to not talk about the subject or else they would have a bawling mess on their hands. I definitely have a new found gratefulness to my seven days off now. Also because I am having such a hard time being a working mom I am trying to find everything and anything that will make it so that I can stay home with my baby. Sooo I may have done something that I never thought I would ever do in this life time, but I was recently introduce to the world of Mary Kay by my friend. This girl, Kristin, needed some "faces" so that she could get closer to earning her Mary Kay car. I thought that it would be fun to have a Mary Kay facial done so I went. I didn't realize that this girl was around the same age as me until I arrived at her house. She then started talking to me about the only reason she joined was so that she could be home with her two kids, and still provide an income for her little family so that her husband didn't have to try and do it on his own. This of course intrigued me, but I was thinking that there would be no way I would be able to sell makeup since so many people that I know have given Mary Kay ladies such a bad name because they have been so pushy in past years even thought that's not how it is now with MK. Kristin, then invited me to go and listen to a presentation about Mary Kay and she would give me some free makeup if I went along with it being free dinner. I, of course, liked the word free in there plus it also helped her get closer to earning her car so I thought I would be nice and go. I went and it wasn't bad I just listened and now was more intrigued since there were other girls there that were doing MK to stay home with their kids. I asked any questions that I had and left. My mom went with me and we talked about it on the way home. I started to tell her that I would do it if I knew that I wasn't the sole income and didn't have to carry the health insurance, and that was the extent of me thinking about doing it. I kinda talked to Brock about it, but I still had the same reserved feelings about being the main income etc. I think that Kristin could tell that I was interested so she invited Brock and me to a free MK dinner at Bella's in North Ogden. We went and listened to a speaker talk about how she has made millions of dollars over 17 years of doing MK and how she was just like me in the fact that she never wore make up, wasn't very girly at all, and wanted to find a way to stay home with her kids. The dinner ended and on our way home Brock talked about how he thinks that I would be good at MK and this would be a way that I could stay home with Addy eventually, but if I did it now it would be a way for us to pay for another car. I liked the idea, but was still thinking that I don't want to burn myself out and be working too much with my regular job and then MK on top of that. Well while we were at the dinner Brock got a call about an interview for a forensics job in Mesa, AZ. WAHOO!!! Plus he has also a high possibility of getting a FT job at the place that he works now and with benefits and perks and everything else be making quite a bit of money. With all this I was put at ease about me staying as the main income for a while. SOOOO I decided to do the craziest thing ever and become a MK lady!!!! I know I know I'm super crazy, but with what I've seen so far of it, it's like a glorified relief society, plus I get to dress up and be all pretty and socialize with other women at least once a week. :) Anywho, so things have been a little crazy for us lately, but I'm grateful for it all. Wow! I never imagined that so many things would happen like this in only three months! I wouldn't change any of it for the world and like I said before I will do anything for my precious little girl even it that means becoming a crazy MK lady :). Two Months Old! (11 Days ago :) )
She had her two month appointment on the 14th and unfortunately had to get her first round of shots. She was a trooper though and didn't cry for very long after. I hate being in the room and holding her down listening to her broken hearted little cry and having her look at me with such a sad look.

These are her battle wounds from getting poked with big needles three times :(

Here are her two month stats:
Length: 21 1/2 inches-20th percentile
Weight: 10 lbs 2.5 oz.-30th percentile
Head circumference: 37.7 cm-25th percentile
Her doctor said that she was doing great and is very strong already. She wrote for a prescription for some vitamins for her since she is only strictly breast feeding she doesn't get the amount of vitamins she needs. I went and got them and opened them up to give them to her and just the smell was enough to make me sick! All the did, it seems, is crush up multivitamins and put some water in with them. Addy isn't too keen on them either, but I think she's getting used to the fact that mom is going to still give it to her every day whether she likes it or not.

As you can see her double chin is growing quite well. She has the chubbiest face, and I love it. She pulls this face where she puts her head down so her double chin shows and squishes her cheeks down. It's the funniest thing ever! I'm getting excited to be able to start taking her outside and going for more walks with her. All of her adventures thus far have consisted of going with mom to Hobby Lobby or grocery shopping. She's such a good baby and will sit in her car seat silently, making a squeak every once in a while, but never has she thrown a fit. She is a very good baby, and I love that about her. She does have her moments where she gets impatient, but most of those are when she's getting lotion put on after her bath. We are working on less screaming with that and progress is good so far.
Today we had a busy day with shopping and lots of pictures for her photo shoot. Surprisingly she was very good through it all for not really taking a nap all day today. New pics posted soon :)

It's been a while since the last update... Things have been wonderful. I am loving every minute with my baby. She is changing and doing more things every day. a couple of weeks ago she started smiling and recognizing her mommy and daddy. I love when she wakes up and looks up at me and smiles. I love love love all of the little moments that are happening in her life and I'm glad that I get to be part of it. She has officially grown out of her first set of newborn clothing. Dad put her in this outfit today, and it doesn't fit so well anymore :(
-Loves to sit in her swing and watch her "friends" twirl around on the mobile

-Hates to lie flat and has to be sitting up somewhat to fall asleep.
-Loves to be held
-Hates to be put down even if she has fallen asleep and is out cold she will wake up 90% of the time
-Loves to sleep in her Boppy
-Hates when mom eats dairy :(-Loves to grunt. Her biggest grunts are when she is pooping. Yes very lady-like I know!
-Hates to be held sitting still. She needs to be rocked, bounced, or patted.
-Loves Boobies... TMI? well it's not hard to miss when you see her fattness forming everywhere on her :)
-Thinks it funny to straighten her legs out and not bend them for anything when mom or dad is trying to change her diaper and clean out all of her rolls.
-Loves playing in the bath

-Hates getting lotion put on her after the bath
ANNND she loves to smile at her momma...

There are so many things about her that makes me fall in love more and more with her every day. She has the cutest little sneezes and very dramatic coughs. It's for sure the cutest thing ever. Is it sad that I like to see her cough because it's so cute? Don't take it the wrong way if she was coughing because she was sick I would be devastated, but when it's a cough because she has a tickle in her throat it's very cute. Her little yawns are adorable, and I'm thinking it's because her cheeks are so squishy and big that it makes it that much cuter when she yawns. :)
I sit and watch her sleep and think of what a miracle it is to have her in my life. The miracle that she started out as cells and now she is here holding my finger sucking on a binky breathing on her own.
I marvel at the fact that she is so perfect. I love being a mom and wouldn't take it back for anything. I love waking up with her at 2 in the morning to feed her and it's just me and her. I love sitting and talking to her telling her about her new world and all of the many things that I am going to teach her. I love that when she is fussing while someone else is holding her and they give her back to me she stops crying because she knows that her mom has her now. She is my entire world. There were several people that told me that I will never know what it's like to love something so much until you have your own child. I now know exactly what they were talking about. I never in a million years thought that I would love this little person already in just 8 weeks. I thought that I would go insane being home all day long, but now that it has happened I wouldn't change it for the world. I love that I am able to get to know which cry means what and which grunt as well. She is getting so big so fast and although I am home and with her almost 24/7 it feels like these stages in her life are going way too fast. I feel like I don't have enough time to sit and actually enjoy them before they are already gone. I hope that it will slow down just a little for me.
I sit and watch her sleep and think of what a miracle it is to have her in my life. The miracle that she started out as cells and now she is here holding my finger sucking on a binky breathing on her own.
