Definitely a soccer player in the future

So this past week and a half to two weeks have been very fun for me. I have started to feel baby REALLY kick. It's such an awesome feeling, and when people talk about bonding with your baby even though they are in your womb it is so true. I love to feel her little kicks, and talk to her. I can feel her kick on the outside too and Daddy has felt her a couple of times which was very exciting for me. It's kind of cool to know that when I eat or do certain things she sure does voice her opinion and will kick a ton. Here are some things that baby will have big kicks for:
-Lying in my back... I don't have to worry about me lying on my back too long if I accidentally roll over while I'm sleeping because she lets me know right away that I need to "MOVE MOM!"
-Root beer
-Milk
-Eating at my 4 A.M. breakfast eeevery stinkin morning. (seriously wakes me up from a deep sleep and I can't go back to sleep 'til I eat something)
-Any kind of fruit (a girl after my own heart) :)
-After I throw up... almost like she's saying "hey mom I was eating that why did you take it away from me" ( yes I like to make up things that my baby is saying... so sue me!)
-And... last but not least usually when I have to potty. I think she finds this a sick joke if you ask me.
So anyway... I'm still not showing (to the everyone else) I definitely see a change in my body shape even if everyone else doesn't see it. I went to my 21 week check up yesterday, and my OB said that baby sounds perfect and I'm doing just great. It was funny when he asked me how I was doing this is how the conversation went:
D: Good morning how we doing today?
M: Oh ya know depends on the day...
D: Getting your energy back and appetite... Things looking up?
M: Well, still feel like I don't have energy certain days, like today. I also have these random throw up spells that isn't brought on by nausea.
D:Are you waiting too long to eat, you too tired, a wrong food trigger it?
M: No it just comes on all the sudden and I have to run to the bathroom right in the middle of my meal. Then I come right back and can finish the rest of it.
D: Oh
pause.... (in no shy way starts undoing my pants and lifting my shirt so my stomach is showing while I'm lying on the table. Yeah I didn't feel awkward, and I know that he didn't, but I kept thinking to myself a normal person watching this would think otherwise.)
continues with the exam...
D: So this isn't as easy as you thought huh?
M: (chuckle) not in the slightest.
D: So will this be some birth control for a few years?
M: I'm hoping...
D: Well you have control of that you know.
M: Yeah that's true
D: I can always right you a little note to hang on the fridge saying no sex for at least two years.
M: (chuckle) yeah tell that to Brock (we're on a first name basis... he knows Brock's entire family)
D: Well it'll be a Dr's order so he will have no choice...
Yeah when I told that to Brock I'm not sure I understood his reaction of a little chuckle, but I'm seriously contemplating my OB's offer. ;)
The appointment went well, and I love hearing that little heartbeat that is inside of me. It always makes me want my little girl now (fully developed of course). They also gave me more pictures of our last U.S. which I loved! One of them is of her kissing the placentae. It was so cute to watch during the U.S. because she did it like 3 or 4 times like she was giving me kisses. :)
Well now that I have had my early morning snack and spent enough time doing nothing hopefully I can try and go back to sleep.
Sweet dreams :)

Birthday Boy!!

So yesterday was Brock's birthday. The big 2-9 for him. I'm not sure he's so excited to be getting closer to 30 mark. I kept asking him what he wanted for his birthday and he would never give me an answer. So as of right now he still doesn't have a birthday present from me. I know bad wife huh. We did go down to Salt Lake and got Brock the iPhone 4. He was very excited about that. I couldn't get one too because apparently only the primary number is allowed to upgrade every year and the secondary can every 18 months. Yeah lame I know! It's ok though I can live without the new one anyway. So when we got home from SLC Brock put his old phone on KSL to sell it and some guy called 20 minutes later worried that we had already sold it. Ha ha pretty funny huh. So yeah we bought Brock's new phone for $200 and sold his old one for $325... $125 is a pretty good profit wouldn't ya say? We went over to his parents house for dinner and cake and ice cream that night and got our new BBQ from them for Brock's birthday. So there's Brock's birthday in a nutshell. Now for a baby update... I have been feeling her kick quite a bit lately, and that has been an amazing feeling. Last night though I guess she thought is was a great idea to start doing summer saults (sp??) just in time to go to sleep. It was really cool to feel though. I'm doing better sick wise and I haven't taken my zofran for 4 days now ( knock on wood). It's kinda depressing though because now the heartburn is replacing the nausea pretty bad. Oh well I guess nothing's perfect.

Pros and cons of pregnancy... Well my pregnancy

So as I was lying on the couch in our family room with my head pounding uncontrollably, my back hurting to the point that it feels like I can't walk let alone get up off the couch and my stomach telling me that it's hungry, but don't you dare feed me anything because you'll end up running to the bathroom 15 minutes later throwing up what ever you decided to feed me. (great run on sentence, I know, but I don't care) Anywho, so as I lay there with the above happening to me I start thinking about the pros and cons of being pregnant. *** I do realize this will be different for every other pregnant female out there so just listen and try to see my side** Pro: I get to see my little girl in 154 days Con: I have been sick every day since about week 5 Pro: I officially get to be a momma Con: I can't sleep very well already, and I'm still not showing Pro: I get to watch my wonderful husband be the best daddy in the whole entire world. Con: I worry all the time if my baby is doing ok and if there is anything that I am doing to make her not ok. Pro: Baby in 154 days! Con: I have a headache almost all day long every day. A bad enough headache that the only relief is putting ice packs on my forehead, my eyes and the back of my head. Pro: ummm I have run out other than the precious gift I will receive in 5.5 months Con: I don't have a belly and all I look is FAT! Heck let me just list the cons because I am being a pessimist right now..... My back hurts so bad that sometimes it feels like that if I took a step my pelvis will crack in half. I have scary/weird dreams every time I sleep that I am paranoid about everything which makes me super stressed out. I cry for no reason and people think I'm crazy. I have no desire to get ready and look like a decent human being when I have to be in the outside world. I am hot all the time. I have hot flashes so bad that it feels like I am going to faint more often than not. OK so the list goes on a on. I guess I needed to vent because I'm sick not feeling normal and everyone telling me it's normal what I'm feeling. I don't ever remember hearing about women and how miserable they are the ENTIRE time they are pregnant. I have been told that the second trimester is the fun and easy one. LIARS!! AND... All those women out there that say that they love being pregnant and that it's a breeze well let me tell you that you can go to you know where! In case you were wondering the post is brought to you by lack of sleep, constant headache, and 6th day in a row of graveyard shifts. That's all! Hopefully next post will be better and more uplifting.

MONKEY!!!

So I have to start out this post by saying that I am excited, nervous, and upset at the same time. I'm excited because as you can tell there are monkeys on our page now. This is because we are going to officially have our very own little monkey that is coming to us in January. I am very excited to officially be a mommy! I am also very nervous at the same time to be bringing this little life into the world, and not knowing if I truly know a single thing about taking care of a child long term.
As for the reason why I'm upset is because I really didn't want to plan on telling the entire world (including my work) that we were expecting until after our appointment that we are having tomorrow to make sure that everything is ok and to find out the sex. Of course this didn't happen because someone that broke every bit of trust and respect that I had for them and decided to tell the work gossiper that I was pregnant.... Which in turn means that now my entire work knows!!!! I feel that this wasn't something that this certain person should of had any right to say anything to anyone whether I was the one that told them, or they overheard me or someone else talking about it!! OK OK I'm done venting about this.
Back to the good news! So as of right now I am still dealing with the morning sickness. It's more if the all day sickness, but it is subsiding. It used to be so bad that even when I would take the Zofran I would still be nauseated, but was able to keep the food that I choked down. Now when I take the Zofran it makes my nausea go away completely. YAY!!!!
I have felt baby flutters here and there, but I'm still not far enough along to feel any significant kicking. We have heard baby's heartbeat two times now, and the Dr. said that baby sounds great! That is a relief to hear because I still have weird fears and off the wall dreams quite often that scare me pretty bad. It's ok because Brock has some dreams too. HA HA Dad's having pregnancy dreams too!! Anywho, the monkey theme on out blog is also what we will be decorating baby's room in whether it's a boy or girl. I have found some super cute boy and girl monkey bedding which makes me very excited to start decorating baby's room after we find out what baby is TOMORROW!!!
More to come! Tune in later for more updates :D
