Crawling!

Yep you guessed it.... She has started to become mobile!!! I have mixed feelings about it too. I love to watch her little self get from place to place, but now she can fall off of couches and beds. Plus she gets into stuff that shouldn't be gotten into! I do love that when she really wants me she will crawl to where ever I am at. I love the feeling of being loved soooo much by someone :).

Not only is she crawling, she can also pull herself up to a standing position while holding onto the couch as well as sit up on her own. I can't believe how fast she is growing up and changing :(. I was looking at pictures of her taken just a few months ago and I can see a huge change in the way she looks from then and now.

This was when she was almost 5 months old
and this was when she was 4 months old
This was just taken the other day....
I love that my baby is healthy and growing, but I love the stage of them being little cuddly and chubby. :)

First camping trip

A couple of weeks ago we had the wonderful opportunity to go up camping in the Unitas with my parents and my dad's two sisters and their families. We had a lot of fun even though we only stayed up there for one night. It was really hard with the Bug during the night. She would wake up because she would get hot, and ten minutes later she would be cold and start crying. ALLL night long! We figured that it would be better since I wasn't getting much sleep anyway that being at home would be better.
Here are some pictures of the Bug being stylin even up camping :)
Nanna of course gave her a bath even in the trailer sink :)

Papa going in for the "kill"
She doesn't like papa's mustach very much so most of the time papa will get pushed away when he goes in for kisses.
She's smiling at her papa. She loves him so much. It's very cute to see her interact with him, and light up every time she sees her papa :)
All in all, though, it was fun and everyone had a good time together :)

Meet George

This is George.....

We named him George because he kinda looks like Curious George.

He has now become a permanent part of our family and MUST go everywhere with us

He has food all over him because he very frequently gets kisses while his little friend, the Bug, is eating.

He has to be with her even when she sleeps.

I don't know where this came from either. It happened one day out of the blue where she wouldn't let go of George

I love it though. This happened to be the first toy that Brock and I bought for our little Bug and what we took to the hospital with us for her, so to see that she has taken a special liking to it makes it that much better.
So there you have it.... Good 'ole G E O R G E :)

Journal

So I follow this blog that I happened upon some time ago through a friend I went to school with. I don't know why I read it because every time I do I sob for hours. This woman is so strong and I cry every time I think about if I were in her shoes. Anyway, so I was reading this entry about how she writes a journal about her child seperate from a regular journal. I love the idea! Even though Addy is 8 months old I still want to start this because I feel that her little life is going by way too fast, and I have forgotten so much of what she does already. SOOO first thing on my week off I am going out and getting a notebook or journal to start writing in. I'm so glad that I have found this blog because it has taught me how much I need to be grateful for every precious moment with my family and little girl. I have had my eyes open these past few weeks with what I have heard has happend to people in my friends lives. I work with this cute girl that has a friend that just lost her sweet husband the Leukemia. He was diagnosed with it on January 24th of this year, just a month after they found out that she was pregnant. He was in remission a little over a month ago, and was called the first part of August and was told that IT was back and he only had 2-10 days to live. His wife was close to their due date so her OB decided to induce her so that he would be able to meet his little boy before he left this world. He passed ten days later. :( I still cry thinking about it, and I don't even know them! Anyway I could go on about all the details, but as I sit here I still cry about it. I need to be better about appreciating every second with Brock and to not sweat the little things in life because it could be soooo different in a heartbeat. I need to pay more attention to the good in our lives rather than the bad. This will be hard for me because I am a worrier. Well that's all. I can't wait to start my newest adventure

Birthday BOY!

Today we have an old man in our house. :) Brock has turned 30!!!!! The Bug and I went and visited him at work and brought him lots of black balloons. :) He was surprised and like our little visit. His work also bought him a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake (which is his favorite). He is now golfing with his dad and will end the day with a yummy birthday dinner made by the one and only... ME! :D pictures posted in a while.Yes nothing very fancy. I kinda was using what I had in the house already so that I didn't have to pack up the baby to go grocery shopping. Unfortunately I had to do that anyway because I did't realize that I didn't have enough powdered sugar to make the frosting. The best part is after I got all packed up and to the store, and ready to pay at the check-out I realized I left my wallet at home. So not only did I not want to go to the grocery store I ended up making two trips :(. Anyway....
Happy Birthday to the love of my life and the best Daddy to my beautiful little girl. You are a wonderful man and father. I am very thankful that Heavenly Father gave me you ;). I love you!
