It's been a while since the last update... Things have been wonderful. I am loving every minute with my baby. She is changing and doing more things every day. a couple of weeks ago she started smiling and recognizing her mommy and daddy. I love when she wakes up and looks up at me and smiles. I love love love all of the little moments that are happening in her life and I'm glad that I get to be part of it. She has officially grown out of her first set of newborn clothing. Dad put her in this outfit today, and it doesn't fit so well anymore :(
She still fits into the newborn onesies, but the rest of the clothing doesn't fit so much anymore. She is starting to get rolls and fat everywhere which is the cutest thing in the world. Here are some little quirks about little Addy:
-Loves to sit in her swing and watch her "friends" twirl around on the mobile
-Hates to lie flat and has to be sitting up somewhat to fall asleep.
-Loves to be held
-Hates to be put down even if she has fallen asleep and is out cold she will wake up 90% of the time
-Loves to sleep in her Boppy
-Hates when mom eats dairy :(
-Loves to grunt. Her biggest grunts are when she is pooping. Yes very lady-like I know!
-Hates to be held sitting still. She needs to be rocked, bounced, or patted.
-Loves Boobies... TMI? well it's not hard to miss when you see her fattness forming everywhere on her :)
-Thinks it funny to straighten her legs out and not bend them for anything when mom or dad is trying to change her diaper and clean out all of her rolls.
-Loves playing in the bath
-Hates getting lotion put on her after the bath
ANNND she loves to smile at her momma...
There are so many things about her that makes me fall in love more and more with her every day. She has the cutest little sneezes and very dramatic coughs. It's for sure the cutest thing ever. Is it sad that I like to see her cough because it's so cute? Don't take it the wrong way if she was coughing because she was sick I would be devastated, but when it's a cough because she has a tickle in her throat it's very cute. Her little yawns are adorable, and I'm thinking it's because her cheeks are so squishy and big that it makes it that much cuter when she yawns. :)I sit and watch her sleep and think of what a miracle it is to have her in my life. The miracle that she started out as cells and now she is here holding my finger sucking on a binky breathing on her own.I marvel at the fact that she is so perfect. I love being a mom and wouldn't take it back for anything. I love waking up with her at 2 in the morning to feed her and it's just me and her. I love sitting and talking to her telling her about her new world and all of the many things that I am going to teach her. I love that when she is fussing while someone else is holding her and they give her back to me she stops crying because she knows that her mom has her now. She is my entire world. There were several people that told me that I will never know what it's like to love something so much until you have your own child. I now know exactly what they were talking about. I never in a million years thought that I would love this little person already in just 8 weeks. I thought that I would go insane being home all day long, but now that it has happened I wouldn't change it for the world. I love that I am able to get to know which cry means what and which grunt as well. She is getting so big so fast and although I am home and with her almost 24/7 it feels like these stages in her life are going way too fast. I feel like I don't have enough time to sit and actually enjoy them before they are already gone. I hope that it will slow down just a little for me.

The time has come....

So it's been a while since I blogged. It's been a little busy for us that started literally the next day after I blogged last. I went to the perinatologist appointment that I had on the 13th. They did an extensive ultrasound to make sure that the babywas healthy and that all of her organs and everything was there and formed correctly. That was pretty cool to see and a relief to see that she was all there limbs and all. Then the perinatologist came in and did another quick ultrasound. When he gotdone with that he gave me the options that were ahead of me. I had slim to no amniotic fluid left, and the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck with only a small pocket of amniotic fluid keeping it from being wrapped around her neck tight. He told me that there was no way that they would be able to do an ECV and he isn't willing to do the supplement amniotic fluid since I was full term and it would be better to just take the baby. He said that he could still try to do the ECV, but that there were more risks than anything with doing it. Sooo that wasn't an option. The next option was to just sit and wait to see if she still turns in the next two weeks on her own, but the likelihood of that happening was also not likely to happen plus that leaves the risk of the baby going into stress because the umbilical cord was around her neck and could tighten if the sac of fluid went away that was there. That made that not an option either. By this point I wasstarting to feel anxious and scared. I wanted my baby to be ok, and I was to the point that I didn't care how they made it happen I wanted it done. The last option was to doa c-section sooner rather than later. He wanted to send me over to labor and delivery to do another stress test to make sure that the baby was still doing ok and in the mean time he was going to contact my OB and tell him what was going on. So I headed over to L&D for the stress test. About 20 minutes into the test the nurse came in and told me that they were going to bedoing the c-section at 5 that evening. She kept coming in and out of the room checking the monitor. Then about 15 minutes later she came back and said that they moved the c-section up to 3:30. They wouldn't tell me why, but I had a feeling that there was a lot more worrying than was led on by my nurse. The best part was they wouldn't let me go home so that I could get everything packed. I had a lot of my bag packed, but I didn't have any of my toiletries. When I called Brock he was really surprised and left work as soon as he could. He hurried and went home and grabbed my bag, and didn't pack anything other than mytoothbrush. Yeah that was pretty interesting not having things.
3:30 rolled around and they wisked me and Brock
away to the operating room and started prepping me right away. The spinal that I had was really weird, and I've decided that I don't ever want to
be paralyzed because I couldn't move my feet or legs even when I was telling them to move. It was very frustrating. After the anesthesia kicked in they started cutting and about ten minutes later baby Addy was out and more beaut
iful than ever.
By 4 o'clock we were back in the room with my baby finally in my arms. I am so happy to finally have my baby in my arms. She is a wonderful joy and I love to already see her personality coming through. She is slowly getting better with nursing, and the sleeping through the night is coming now that I have figured out what has been giving her such bad gas bubbles. It's funny when she does have gas because she lets out the biggest grunt when she's trying to poop or toot. It makes us laugh pretty hard.
Her two week appointment:
At 13 Days old on January 26, 2011
Length: 191/2 Inches... 20th percentile
Weight: 6 lbs 6.5 oz... 5th percentile
Head circ: 34.5 cm... 15th percentile
She's itty bitty, and I love it. She is so fun, and so perfect. I'm so excited to me her mommy and to raise her. There is only fun from this point forward. :)
On a sad note though; the same day as Addyson's two week appointment I received the sad news that my childhood dog was dying and he was needing to be put down. I went over to see him and say goodbye. It was so sad for me to see my dog in the state that he was in. He could no longer use his back legs and would drag himself around. It was such a shock to all of us since he was just fine 4 days earlier. It was sad because other than him not being able to walk he was still the happy puppy that he has been for the past 17 years. It was such a sad day for me, but I know that my puppy is in such a better place and is a lot happier now.
I love you Jacob and I will miss you. You were such a wonderful dog and the best running and hiking companion. You were the happiest and friendliest dog. I loved how you would smile and prance around. You were a member of our family and I will always remember all of the great memories I have with you.
I also found out on the 25th that my good friend that I work with died the night before. She was an amazing woman that was changing her life doing everything right. She was beautiful and had the most amazing personality. She always made everyone smile and was always cheerful. I'm glad that she had the chance to meet our little girl because she was so excited to see her. She loved kids, and I wish she had a chance to be around for Addy to grow up. Nikki Jo you have made me a better person and I hope that one day I can make an impact in people's lives like you did. I love you and will miss you my friend.
Now here are some photos of my precious baby:

Update

So I went to my 38 week appointment yesterday thinking that everything is hunky dory and it would be a regular visit with him checking me is all. Well to my amazement things didn't turn out the best. When the nurse took my blood pressure she usually says looking good, but this time she didn't say anything. I kinda knew that I felt different because when I was shaving my legs in the shower that morning they were EEEXTRA massive. SOOO I knew that I was retaining water, but I didn't think that it would result in the apt that I had. The Dr. came in the room and told me that I was boarder line pre-eclamptic because of my blood pressure level, but luckily I wasn't secreting any protein in my urine which was a good sign. He then told me that we should probably look to be scheduling a day to have her. I asked him about supplement amniotic fluid and if he knew anything about that. He told me no and asked what is it used for. I told him that they do it for women that have lower levels of amniotic fluid and breech babies so that they can turn the babies instead of having a c-section. He told me that he had never heard of that, but he could set up an appointment for me to see a perinatologist and see what he can do about that. He then told me that he wanted to take a look and see how much amniotic fluid I do have so we transferred into the ultrasound room. When everything was ready and we started looking at the U.S it showed that I had even less amniotic fluid than last time we did a U.S. I started to ask why this was the case, and if it was something that I did. He told me no, that some women lose their fluid faster than others once the placenta stops producing it in the final weeks of pregnancy. I asked if this was OK for the baby, and he said that lower levels don't harm babies, but with my levels we need to start worrying about her possibly getting a prolapsed cord. He then told the nurse that he wanted to do a stress test on the baby to make sure that everything was for sure alright. This started to scare me into thinking that when he listened to her heartbeat before he heard something that he didn't like. So the whole time in the stress test I was a nervous wreck and tried my very hardest to hold back my fear and tears. Thankfully, the stress test came back normal. So now we have to wait to see what the perinatologist can do. If he can't do anything then I'm hoping that we will have a baby by the end of the week via c-section.

1.1.11

Well, as I'm sitting her reflecting on this past year I can't help but think about all of the amazing and wonderful things that have happened to us. We have had some downs this past year, but we have had more ups than anything. We started out the year celebrating our two year anniversary in Park City. It was so fun to live on the rich side even though it may have only been for one night. I graduated shortly after that in April, which was such a relief for me. I miss school, but to not have the stress has been so nice. Then we found out that we were going to be expecting a little Cordingley in May, and we have been walking on cloud nine ever since. Summer was a blast for us with parties and vacations. We spent an entire week in Lake Powell with the Cordingley family. It was very fun, but I had started to get morning sickness and we weren't telling the families 'til later that month so that was sure fun to hide. Brock had his birthday in August and of course got new gadgets for his birthday presents. After that, time seems like it has flown by. Brock's little brother, Dakota, came home from his mission in October, and my little brother hit his one year mark almost the exact same day. We had a great Halloween although we didn't get around to having our annual Halloween bash that we have had in the past years. A lot of the Cordingley family came down from Idaho since Dakota came home so close to Halloween which made it a blast. Thanksgiving was a blast having both families together for dinner, and Christmas we were so spoiled by both families.
With all of this said about our past year I can't help but think about how amazing my husband has been with me. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life that treats me better than I think I should be treated. I have come to realize this more lately than anything with how he has been with me and this pregnancy. He has been so loving with my morning sickness when I had it for almost a total of SEVEN months, and now that I am getting so uncomfortable he is so loving and doting now matter what it is. I love that he is so level headed and is able to talk me back into reality when I start having stress breakdowns. I am so grateful for him, and I don't think that I express that to him as much as I should. I love him with all of my heart, and love that he is my best friend. He has such a tender heart, and I am learning to be a better person from him each and every day. He is a wonderful man that I know will be such a wonderful daddy to our little girl and all of our future children. I often wonder sometimes who is more excited for this little girl to come him or me. I love to see him with all of the baby things and the cute look that he gets on his face when it comes to the baby clothes, accessories and talking about our baby. I don't think that I could have asked for a better man in my life. I look forward to having many more wonderful years with him and raising our little girl and future children together.
So now that we have 2010 over, I look forward to having a wonderful 2011. First off this year, we will be bringing a little girl into this world. I can feel that this year will be one of the very best compared to the past years, and most of the future years (more babies will be great years as well:) ).
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope it will be as wonderful for you as we plan on ours being.

update

So we had our target ultrasound appointment yesterday... It went well and Addy is growing great. She has the most beautiful face with very fat cheeks. I loved seeing my little girl, and I am so excited to finally meet her. Her calculated weight is 5 lbs 3 oz and is wiggling and moving great. The bad news is that she is breech, and there isn't enough amniotic fluid left to be able to perform what is called external cephalic version (turn the baby by pushing on my belly). The Dr. said that he isn't willing to do it because with the lower level of amniotic fluid there can be more complications than anything trying to turn her. So now we are hoping that when I go to my next appointment she has decided to cooperate and will be head down. I was really not wanting a C-section because of all the complications that it can cause. I am coming to terms with the fact that it may happen whether I like it or not, and I am ok with it as long as my little girl will be safe and healthly when she has decided it's time for her to enter this world. Anyway we things are coming along great with her room and all we need to do is minor stuff. It's been so great to watch Brock these last couple of weeks. He is getting so excited to meet his little girl. I love when he come up to me and will rub my belly and talk to the baby. I am so happy that he is the way he is and I can't wait to see how he is going to be with her when she is officially here.
SOOOO... Now we wait...
